As we journey through life, using a journal as a "self-care" tool can be not only therapeutic, but also a way to see how much we've grown in different areas of our lives. Journaling is a healthy way to release our thoughts and feelings in written form. This allows us to use "Emotional Intelligence", we are able to say whatever we feel in the privacy of our own thoughts. I advise those who purchase my book to buy a journal, as you will need to capture your thoughts as you answer the questions at the end of each chapter. I call the questions "Soul Work"- they are devised to engage the reader on deeper inner-self-work journey. Remember, all relationships begin and end with you! How we see ourselves is how we view others, Love is a learned behavior, and life's journey can dilute and contaminate our "Love Lens". Your journal should be used as a point of reference and a self-checkup. I use my journal as a self-care tool to not only capture my thoughts, but to help me process my feelings. I use it as a guide to stay on task with plans and goals I have set for myself. I capture my dreams and visions for my life when I journal; from time to time, I will go through my "thought pages" and revisit what I have written down, this allows me to see my accomplishments and to reset my life as many times as necessary to keep moving forward!
